Carol Diver - Abstract Artist

Carol Diver has lived and worked in various parts of Ireland and abroad, selling her work though either private commission or galleries.

After a period of more than twelve years teaching art in various prisons, she decided to devote her time entirely to painting. In 1998 she moved to Vietnam where her work became influenced by the ancient art of lacquer painting.

Although her greatest influence remains her native Donegal with its distinctive moody light, more and more her work is questioning the equilibrium between form and colour, composition and tone, figuration and abstraction.

She now divides her time between her native Donegal and Spain.
